New BMW X3 to launch on August 25th

The German Auto biggie BMW is all set to launch a new hatchback in the Indian auto market christened as new BMW X3 on August 25th 2011. This new hatchback is the most anticipated car of BMW and now it seems that finally the long wait of BMW fans has come to an end by the end of August. With new BMW X3 launch company is looking to give a tough competition to Audi Q5 and the upcoming Mercedes Benz GLK. BMW India has made modifications in the looks and style. This new BMW X3 is masculine in style and looks just like its bigger sibling BMW X5. BMW X3 will be assembled at the BMW's Indian assembly unit situated at Chennai. Since this new hatchback is assembled in India it will provide the localization to the buyers.

The new BMW X3 will be available in both petrol and diesel variant. As far as price is concerned it is expected that new BMW X3 price will land up on Rs 41.3 lakh for its petrol variant and Rs 42.2 lakh for its diesel variant. The petrol variant of the new BMW X3 will come powered with a 2.5 litre six petrol engine which is capable to churns out the power of 210 bhp and a peak torque of 246 Nm. The company claims that the new BMW X3 has good pick up as it reach to 100 from 0 in only 10 seconds. The engine used so far is good enough for the top speed of 210 Kph.

The diesel variant of the new BMW X3 features a 2 litre, four pot turbo diesel engine which can generate a power of 180 bhp and maximum torque of 350 Nm. This diesel variant is also capable of providing an excellent performance. As per company officials new BMW X3 will reach the top speed of 200 Kph and zero to hundred in just 10 seconds.
