Hyundai i10 Magna
Hyundai i10, the new city small car has been launched. India is the first and only country in which the Hyundai i10 is made. The Hyundai i10 will be made at Hyundai's Chennai facility and exported to over 70 countries. Though Hyundai has not revealed the price, it is expected to be between Rs 3.39 lakh and Rs 3.98 lakh.
The Hyundai i10 has a 1.1 litre 65 bhp engine, the same as the one in Hyundai Kia Picanto sold abroad. However, there is less CO2 emission than in the Picanto. The Hyundai i10 also comes with a diesel option which have a 1200 cc diesel engine. Hyundai has also fitted airbags for all passengers. This is makes it a first for any small car in India to offer airbags as standard fitting. The i10 will options for a manual transmission or an automatic transmission.
The Hyundai i10 in India will have air conditioning as standard accessory; All i10s will have power windows in the front, central locking, power steering, tinted glass, 14 inch alloy wheels, body-coloured bumpers and a CD player.
Hyundai i10 is the best selling model of the South Korean company Hyundai in India. Recently the car outsold Santro to become the company's flagship model in the fast emerging market of India. The premium hatchback Hyundai i10 has been selling better than its competition due to its great performance, refined engine and fuel efficiency. Hyundai i10 has overall length of 3565 mm, overall width of 1595 mm and overall height of 1550 mm. The car has ground clearance of 165 mm and kerb wight of 860 kg. The 1197 cc engine of the 4-door car i10 delivers maximum power of 80 PS @ 5200 rpm and maximum torque of 111 Nm @ 4000 rpm. The car with the seating capacity of 5 has the fuel tank capacity of 35 liter. The car offers mileage of 16 km/liter on high way and 12 km/liter in city. Overall the car offers the mileage of 12.8 km/liter. The car has front brakes of ventilated disc, while rear brakes are of drums. The car has front suspension of McPherson Strut with Stabilizer Bar, while the rear suspension is of Coupled Torsion Beam Axle (CTBA) with coil spring. The high-end model, Hyundai i10 Asta 1.2 AT, is equipped with various safety and entertainment related features. The features include air conditioner, power windows, power steering, cup holders, folding rear-seat, rear wash wiper, remote boot/fuel-lid, steering adjustment, tachometer, sun-roof, front fog lights and rear defroster. The safety related features include anti-lock braking system, driver air-bags, passenger air-bags and child safety locks. The entertainment related features include AM/FM Radio and CD Player. Hyundai i10 is sold in 9 variants in India. These include Hyundai i10 D-lite, Hyundai i10 Era, Hyundai i10 Magna 1.2, Hyundai i10 Magna, Hyundai i10 Sportz 1.2, Hyundai i10 Sportz 1.2 AT, Hyundai i10 Asta 1.2, Hyundai i10 Asta 1.2 with Sunroof and Hyundai i10 Asta 1.2 AT. The starting price of the car is around Rs. 3.30 lakh (ex-showroom), while the high-end version is available around Rs. 5.30 lakh.
