New Swift cross 50k bookings

Maruti Suzuki India is the largest and the most popular car manufacturing company in India. Maruti India has launched a wide variety of automobiles with their variants that suits the pocket of every Indian. Maruti India has launched its new Maruti Swift on August 17, 2011. The launch of much awaited new version of Maruti Swift has excited the customers as it was a very popular car before its launch and its booking has crossed 50000 count. Maruti India has sold 10000 to 12000 units of the previous model of Maruti Swift and has expected to sell 18000 units of the new Maruti Swift 2011. Maruti Swift has been launched in six variants. Three variants are of diesel model and the other three are of petrol model.

The new Maruti Swift price varies with different variants of petrol and diesel model. The price for each variant of petrol model is as follows new Maruti Swift LXi is priced at Rs. 4.22 lakhs, new Maruti Swift VXi is priced at Rs. 4.76 lakhs., and new Maruti Swift ZXi is priced at Rs. 5.53 lakhs. The price list for the diesel model of new Maruti Swift is as follows new Maruti Swift LDi is priced at Rs. 5.17 lakhs, new Maruti Swift VDi is priced at Rs. 5.61 lakhs and new Maruti Swift ZDi is priced at Rs. 6.38 lakhs. These are the price of the cars at ex-showroom Delhi. The new Swift price in Mumbai exshow room slightly differs. The price for the petrol model ranges from Rs. 4.22 lakhs to Rs. 5.53 lakhs whereas the price of diesel model ranges from Rs. 5.17 lakhs to rs. 6.38 lakhs.

As per the new Maruti Swift specifications, the petrol version of new Maruti Swift is powered by 1.2 litre engine which will generate the power of 87 PS and the torque of 11.5 kg. The diesel version of new Maruti Swift is powered by 1.3 litre engine which will generate the power of 75 PS and the torque of 19.2 kg. The marketing Manager of Maruti Swift, Mr. I.V. Rao has said that discussions are going on with Fiat the engine partner of Maruti India to deploy bigger as well as smaller engines to add to its 1.3 litres engine.
