Mercedes Benz India is planning to launch its new car Mercedes Benz B-Class in Indian car market. The German luxury brand's Indian subsidiary mulls to launch its new car in June, 2012. Mercedes Benz B-Class will be a hatchback car and this car will be showcased at the Auto Expo Show in 2012 to see the customer's response and interest. If the company gets good response then it might be possible that they release Mercedes Benz B-Class earlier than expected time. There is no official announcement related to price of the car but, it is expected that Mercedes Benz B Class price in India would be around Rs 18 lakh.

It is also speculated that Mercedes Benz B-Class will be available in two variants that is diesel and petrol variant. Apart from this, it is also expected that Mercedes Benz B-Class diesel variant will be more popular among car buyers in India because of increasing price of petrol. As the price of petrol is increasing rapidly people are giving preference to diesel variants of the cars. Mercedes Benz India is also planning to assemble the B-Class hatchback in India to place the Mercedes Benz B-Class prices competitively low. At present Mercedes Benz is developing its mini SUV Mercedes Benz GLC which will be able to give close competition to BMW X1 in 2014.
