Premier Motors has launched the petrol variant of it's compact SUV, Premier Rio in Indian car market. The Premier Rio diesel variant already exists in the Indian auto market and US company wants to make it more popular in India. Premier Rio price for petrol variant is Rs. 4.7 lakh.Premier Rio specifications come with 1.2L MPFI engine which produces a maximum power of 76.6 PS at 5800 rpm and a maximum torque of 103.9 Nm at 3500-4000 rpm. Rio is adorned with a 5-speed manual transmission which provides power to all four wheels at every shift. It delivers an impressive fuel combustion of 16 kmpl. The Premier Rio SUV is available in four variants namely EX, DX, LX and GLX.

Premier Rio features a fuel tank capacity of 46 liters and adorned with disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at rear. It offers a power steering, power windows and electric door mirrors which shows a good control of driver over window and doors of the car. Premier Rio comes with an integration of some special features like ABS(Anti braking system) which helps to control the car and avoid skidding, EBD, rear seat belts, and provides a high ground clearance of 200 mm and central locking .
