Equipped with newly introduced automatic gearbox, the modified version Toyota Fortuner is all set to come up as a strong contender for cars like Chevrolet’s Chevrolet Captiva and Ford’s Ford Endeavour in SUV segment and will not give any chance to maintain their dominance in Indian car market. According to authentic sources Toyota Fortuner price will be Rs 20.14 lakh (ex- showroom price in Delhi).

There are rumours that new facelift version of Toyota Fortuner will be demonstrated in forthcoming Auto Expo to be held in New Delhi during 2012. Prior to this the facelift version of Toyota Fortuner is reported to make in debut in Indonesian car market, but it lacked automatic gearbox. Coming towards the Toyota Fortuner specifications there is no change in the engine capacity. The modified version of Fortuner carries same 3 liter D-4D engine producing power of 170 Bhp and torque of 343 Nm. The other cosmetic changes that need to mention in modified Toyota Fortuner facelift include new headlights and tail lamps, fresh bumper and modified grille followed by big chrome dollop.
