Brio launch nears, Honda hopes overwhelming response

Honda is well known for delivering high end safety features in their cars. The Japanese auto biggie is in disoriented state with their new product Honda Brio which is expected to be launched on 27th September. Honda India wants to make big on the Brio in terms of market share by putting down the Honda Brio price under Rs 5 lakh. Being priced low Honda has to alter some safety features in the base variant of Honda Brio.

Despite its small dimensions Honda managed to pack the Brio perfectly. It might be possible that the base variant of the Honda Brio lacks some safety features like airbags. As these safety features increase the Honda Brio price by Rs 45,000 to Rs 60,000. The cut forced the Honda to compromise with these safety features as these are generally remain unnoticeable. In order to compete in cut throat competition in the Indian car market the Japanese giant has to cut down the price of Honda Jazz hatchback and its most popular sedan Honda City by Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 66,000 respectively.

M Takedagawa Former CEO of Honda India commented that safety is the major concern for the company and Honda never compromise with the safety features.
